Turning off minor station label display

Newbie here. I have an alignment drawing that I'm xrefing into a sheet drawing. The sheet drawing is an overall plan and I'd like to turn off the display of minor station labels to help readability. I've gone into Toolspace>Settings>Alignment>Label Styles>Station>Minor Station and set the label visibility to False.  The labels are still appearing though.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You could try removing the minor station labels. Select the alignment, hit "edit alignment labels" and delete the labels.

I'm assuming that the alignment is labeled in the drawing that's being xreffed? Try freezing the layers that those labels are on, then label the alignment in your current drawing.

Thanks! That worked.  I was thinking that label styles worked like a text style insofar as you could change the properties of them when xrefed into a separate drawing.
