ACK!

I hope nobody is seriously floating that as a solution.

Was Trimble Link created in C++, then? If they had created it in a .NET language, then they shouldn't have a problem, except for the installer. But if it was created in C++, then it can take more effort to make a 64-bit version, depending on how well the original source code was written. In either case, it should be possible to create a 64-bit version.

Is this working for anyone with 64-bit W7? We get the message "Required AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 or AutoCAD Civil 2011 System not found"

Same here.......No luck. The new Trimble Link for 64 Bit is showing the same error message; can't find the 64 Bit intallation of Civil 3D. Notice the screen capture showing the installation error message over an open session of Civil 3D. Dope!!!

It's still not working 100% correctly. Trimble Support is aware of this
issue. We will provide an update when it is up and running as it should.

There's a new version at the Trimble website (http://www.trimble.com/link_ts.asp?Nav=Collection-63438) that completes the install successfully - and then Trimble link appears on the ribbon. Fantastic.

You know, this has been a pretty quick response. I recall waiting months for Trimble Link updates in years past. So to get an update and then the revisions so quick is great. It appears that Autodesk took an active interest in monitoring this at the very least.

So, thanks Autodesk. Thanks Trimble.

Thanks for the patience - working with them, they were able to track
down the problem last night. Kudos to Trimble software engineering for
getting an updated installer up so fast and kudos to Trimble support for
working so closely and keeping us up to date!

I switched to 2011.  I have the Trimble Link tab in the ribbon.  When I try to export a surface file it crashes C3D.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling TL.  No help.  I have 64b W7 and C3D.  The Trimble download said it was for 32 and 64 bit.  Any ideas?
