Transparent surface analysis

Using C3D 2011 and I have created a surface with level (elevation) banding displayed but I want to show the detail (aerial image) below - can the transparent layer functionality be used on the banding to make the aerial image visible and if so how can I do this.

thanks

Hi Neil-

I recall a blog post from back in April, written by Dana Probert, in which she discribes this process. Please follow this link for more information: Civil 3D 2011: Using AutoCAD 2011 Layer Transparency for Civil 3D Objects

Hope this helps!
