Tool Palette Problem

Hello,

In 3D 2011 when I open the Tool Palette which contains assemblies, materials, blocks, etc. -- the images for each item are not displaying.  A white space is shown instead.  Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?  Anyone else having this issue?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

Go to this location C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2011\enu\Tool Catalogs\Road Catalog and check if you have an image folder. This folder contains the icon images used on the tool palette.

If it’s not there, you may need to manually copy it.

Also in Options menu>Files tab under Tool Palettes File Location make sure it points to (Windows 7): C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\C3D 2011\enu\Support\ToolPalette

Good luck!

Hi Scott-

Could you verify through the OPTIONS menu FILES tab that you have a path specified for your TOOL PALETTES FILE LOCATIONS? If not try adding it and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply.  However, I am using Windows XP and do not have a ProgramData folder on the C drive.  I do have a Program files directory, but when I dig down it does not ahve an ENU directory.  I also looked under documents and settings, under my username - however I could not dig down through the path you indcate.

Any other suggestions?

Scott

IN this directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\scottd\Application Data\Autodesk\C3D 2011\enu\Support\ToolPalette\Palettes

There are many files ending with the .atc extension - but I do not see any images.

In this directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\scottd\Application Data\Autodesk\C3D 2011\enu\Support\ToolPalette

The same applies - no images.

Thanks

This is a really old post, but I never saw if anyone solved your problem.  We have had a similar situation.  In most cases, we have been able to right-click on the image (or blank box) in a tool palette and have it "Update the Image".
