TIN Volume surface becomes regular TIN surface--lost it's Volume-ness

My project TIN Volume surfaces have suddenly transformed to regular TIN surfaces. Even the icon that typically denotes a TIN volume surface (green triangulation overlaying black & white triangulation) has turned into the regular TIN surface icon. It is as though they have transformed...no cut/fill/net statistics either.
The comparison surfaces still exist.

Any ideas?

Sounds horribly suspicious to me.

What appears in the definition tab of the surface properties?

Do you work alone, or do others work with you?

Are the base/comparison surfaces still in your drawing?
