There was a new update for 09???

I am catching up on some blogs and see that there was a sp for 09 released on Sept 4. Apparently I missed that. Must of had something to do with my friends Gustav and Ike. Soooo... who has downloaded it and what did it fix? Did it cause any issues while it was fixing others?
Thanks,
Julie

I think it's been out even longer than that.

It fixes a rather large number of issues, and I haven't really noticed anything that it broke. I remember seeing something bad that it did, but it was something that doesn't affect us, and I can't even remember what it was at this point.

And if it was causing problems for people, we'd probably be seeing a lot more posts about it. The silence is a good sign. It might be Autodesk's most-successful service pack yet, as far as "doing no harm" goes.

Maybe the silence is how I missed it. On the autodesk site it says sept 4.
Guess I will load it up and see what happens.
Thanks

Gotta love Autodesk's naming schemes, eh? 🙂

I'm still voting for the next release to be called "Civil Desktop for Land Development", just to see what THAT does to people... 🙂 🙂 🙂

Where oh where is my C3D.MSI file?

If you remember a couple wks back we had a little discussion about my computer getting moved and using a diff server. I now have a diff profile. Now the 09 was installed using my new profile.

Anywho... the service pack can't find my MSI file. The tech guy had fixed my msi issue with my windows programs. I have a search going right now. However any shortcuts or ideas where to find it would be helpful.

I think you're seeing the same (inexplicable) issue I saw when I installed C3D on one of our computers...

It's on the C3D install disk, down one directory from the top level. Browse around there a bit, and it should jump out at you.

I got it. Inserted the disk. All is good. Tell me something to try.

Well it doesn't look like they fixed the short term memory on 'recent imput' in the right click. Dang it.

I'll vote for that one, as long as Autodesk names C3D "Civil Design Desktop for Land Development" ;).
