Has ever anyone ever encountered this scenerio?
I have a grading object that automatically change it's layer without any input from me. Except for this one problem, there is nothing wrong with grading object. I purged and audited the drawing to the infinite degres, and the grading still changes it's layer to it's own desire. I swear. This grading object is messing with my mind just for the pure evil of it.
1) The grading object exists on a layer called CPG-Grad-Pumphouse.
2) I change my current layer to CPG-Grad-Pump-Test.
3) The grading object is still on the layer CPG-Grad-Pumphouse.
4) I save the drawing. The grading object is still on the layer CPG-Grad-Pumphouse.
5) I close Civil 3D.
6) I open Civil 3D. Guess what. The grading object has suddenly moved to the layer CPG-Grad-Pump-Test.
I'm running no layer commands except to open the layer dialog box. The grading object will automatically move to the current layer when I close Civil 3D. Or maybe it's doing it when I open the drawing. Either way, the thing is changing layers without any input from me whenever I either open or close the drawing.
I swear. This grading object is some twisted demon spawn.
Are you trying to change the layer through the style, or properties?
Did you try REA (Regenerate All) after you changed the layer?
