Am editting a clients file and have to remove the text style CT_Calibri_B.
Have tried using quick select and specifying the text style but this does not select anything.
How can I remove this text style?
Can I remove it if it is embedded in the file?

Solved by wfberry. Go to Solution.
Textstyles are like other table entries such as layers and linetypes. If something is referencing it, you cannot purge it.
Things to check/try:
Check dimstyles, linetypes (complex linetypes can reference a textstyle), tablestyles, blocks, Civil 3D styles, etc.
Check for text entitites that contain empty text strings.
Wblock out entire drawing to a new drawing.
Use SuperPurge to purge the style _and_ anything referenced by the style.
Is "CT_Calibri_B" actually a style, not a Font? If it is a style. Use the Style command and change to a different font.
Perhaps I am missing something.

Thanks for the help. I was able to use the style command as suggested by wfberry to change the style which fixed the problem.
No problem
Note that my reply was specifically in response to your query of how to -> "remove the text style CT_Calibri_B"
If anybody has a long list of Text-Styles that they cannot remove, do the following. I'll refer to the autocad file in question as the "Infected file."
First, go to the folder in explore so you can see the autocad file
1.) Open infected autocad file
2.) type the "dxfout" command and it will prompt you to save as an AutoCAD Interchange file. Give it a random name like XXXX because you will delete it in the very end.
3.) Now close the infected file and open that file XXXX
4.) Purge (that will remove the long list of Text Styles).
5.) SaveAs over the infected file and Whalla!
