Text orient from xref

I have created a base plan that has lot numbers for a subdivision.  I have created the text style to align with the viewport orientation and it all works correctly.   I would like to xref that base plan into other blowup sheets and have the lot numbers scale and reorient to the new respective viewport.   The lots scale correctly but do not reorient, any ideas.

Do you have the Orientation Reference set to VIEW?

Where do you find that?  It sounds good.

It's in the Style setting.

Unfortunately, I have not found this setting to work through XREFs...  😞

Location to set the orientation reference for label styles.  And it does work from an XREF. See the second image. The parcel drawing was referenced and the UCS for that viewport was changed. Worked perfectly.

I did get it to work.  I just didn't get into a viewport in the linked drawing to see that it would rotate through the viewport but not in Modelspace.  Thanks.

Hi all,

I have been having a similar issue with MLEADERS.

Is there a way to have a MLEADER in a base file rotate to be plan readable in an XREF file's ritated viewport?

We typically use MLEADERS not notes/labels.

thanks for any help.......
