Does Civil 3D 2013 have a Symbol Manager as LDD did?
If not can I bring in the symbols from LDD 2007?
Looking for the Utilities menu that featured this.
Thanks

Hi Joe,
This question about symbol manager in C3D 2013 was presented to me today.
That is not the reason for this post.
You have the link http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=8891614&linkID=9240697 indicated as where you found them.
I am curious if the content of your link was changed with the advent of the Autodesk Knowledge Network?
Thanks,
Kyle
What I found worked for us is to create a templaTe with all the symbols (from LD2007) available withi the file. I accomplished this using DC.
Thanks
Here's the current link to that article: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-civil-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticle...
Thanks for the link but it points to a subfolder that doesn't exist on my system. I did a search for such and nothing.
Running Autodesk Infrastructure Design 2013 on Windows 7 Pro.

\ProgramData\ happens to be a hidden folder.
What happens this setting is changed in Windows Explorer?
Organize>Folder and Search Options>View Tab>Hidden Files and Folders>Show hidden files, folders and drives - check this
Now C:\ProgramData\... should be visible in Windows Explorer.
Edit, I believe the AutoDesk link provided contains a typo as these folders are normally installed under C:\ProgramData\...
Unfortunately that isn't it either. I don't have that folder. However, I used this folder C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013\Sample\Symbols to place the drawing files of symbols from LD2007 that I created and that works. Just curious why good pieces of software don't trickle down thru the stages of upgrades. It seems that end users don't have as much input as would seem logical. My 2 cents.
Jay,
"They can be found at C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2013\enu\Data\Symbols\"
Whenever I need to find something where that "enu" is part of the path, it doesn't seem to exist on my computer. Search comes up empty. No "enu" folder anywhere.

Hi @kepano530
Yes, I remember the LDD symbol manager. Great tool back in the day!
I suggest taking a look at your tool palettes (civil) tab to see what they have to offer for utility symbols. Then I recommend using the Design Center to build your set symbols for your tool palettes (civil) tab.
Here is <<video>> showing some of the capabilities of the Design Center and how to pick drawing files apart and extract various components from them. It can also be used when working with tool palettes. Hope this helps!
