Sweep extrude 2D train profile trough alignement

Hi,

I have three objects constructed:

  1. profile of wagon (2D)
  2. axis of the rail (3D poly)
  3. 3D poly, which defines the slope of the rail along the curves
How can I extrude 2D profile trough axis and one of the rail wich defines slope? I yust want the wagon is aligned on the 3D rail.

I use Civil 3D.

Thanks a lot,
Gregorjev

Create an alignment of the rail path. Create a profile of the rail path. Create an Assembly that includes LinkWidthandSlope Subassembly. Create a Corridor, using your 3d polyline at the offset and elevation targets for the subassembly.

Best regards,

Tim

Thank you Tim,

sorry, but it's too dificult for me. Do you know maybe for some tutorial
which deals with it. I'm total beginner in C3D and I need to fix only this
problem.

Thank you again.

Yes, there are tutorials that come with the software. Press the arrow next to the Help button (the question mark at top of the screen) and move down to Tutorials. You should run through the Alignment, Profiles, Corridor Assembly and Corridor tutorials.

Best regards,

Tim
