Survey Figures

We are looking for a way to process our mapping using 3dpolylines or simple polylines rather than using figures. As of now, when we process our codes to create linework, survey figures are created. Many of our clients are having problems with the figures and would rather be delivered 3dpolys, especially the clients using older versions of AutoCad or other CAD platforms. We've found several third party solutions for this but would rather stay within the core software, as all our libraries and settings are already set up.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

We use the export to acad under the file pull down and export back to autocad 2007, this converts all civil 3D objects back to just autocad entities.

Terryl, we have used the export to AutoCAD 2007 ourselves, however this particular client wants to keep the symbols and survey points as 2011 AutoCAD Civil3d Cogo Points rather than the blocks that come with the save down process. The reason for this is the dynamic value that comes with the AutoCAD points rather than "simple" blocks. We want full 2011 version files but want to by-pass the figures. -- *Eric Spooner, RPLS* Spooner and Associates, Inc. 309 Byers Street, #100 Euless, Texas 76039 PH 817-281-2355 ext 201

What about exploding all the survey figure's, this will take them back to plines.  I would do a save as of the drawing so you still have a drawing with the survey figures to work with.
