Survey Databases

Another question; Is it possible to have only the current survey database show up on the "Survey" tab? I mean, I can see that after a little time passes the list is going to get very long and I really hope that we are not going to have to scroll down through several hundred survey databases to find the right one. So far this year we have done over 250 survey jobs so this is going to be a problem for us in a hurry.

There may be some obscure setting somewhere, but I'm not seeing it.

I did try this - and it seemed to work...

The survey database is stored in your working folder (C:\Civil 3D
Projects on my computer). I went into that folder and created a new
folder called "Survey DB Archive" - I then used the windows cut/paste
command to move one of my databases into that archive folder. I go
back to Civil 3D and refresh my view on the survey tab of toolspace and
it's now gone.

*****NOTE***** I didn't test this with "un-archiving" - that it,
moving it back in case I needed to use it and connecting to it. I'm
95% sure that the method will work, though. I suggest creating a
"dummy" database and performing the above steps, then moving it back to
your working folder to see if you can use it again, just for a test. I
don't see why it would matter, though. Also note that my survey
database that I moved was NOT added to any Vault projects, so I'm not
sure how that would play into the equation. I'll try to test tonight
and see just what I can achieve...

Jason, thanks for the help. Let me know if and when you try to re-establish contact with the moved and re-moved database. If I get to it first, I will let you know.
