surface

under surface in defination their is a pentagonal symbol attacted..is this an error? how can be rectified

Hi,
if you mean the yellow symbol with the exclamation mark it usually means that your data is not updated. With a right mouse click you can rebuild your surface (or other object) if the source data is available.
Check also the panorama event viewer for notifications.

I have rebuilt my surface many times but still it is attached with defination..

IF you have added data to your TIN that is not available or cannot be found anymore the exclamation mark will not get away. Check the surface properties for any hints and also the panorama event viewer.
If you cannot find the issue please attach your drawing in order to allow me to have a look myself.

Open up the Surface Properties dialog and check the definition tab.  Hopefully you'll be able to tell from there what might be wrong.
