surface limits ?

Is there a limit as to how many surfaces you can have on one dwg ?

I don't believe there is one. Any limits are based on available memory and processing power. I've had files with as many as 15 or more individual surfaces that were small and maintained a manageable file. I've had another with a monster surface developed with a very large corridor model that choked out my computer at the time (dual processor with 4 Gig Ram). After that experience, I look to separate files and using data shortcuts if the file sizes approach 75 Mb.
