Surface Labels

Hi all, 
Does anyone how to export surface spot elevation labels ? I downloaded an app called import/export surface labels, but it does not export the Z, only X and Y which is uselss.

set up the label style so that the label text is located at the insertion point of the label. then explode all labels to mtext entities, and run data extraction.

Why are you needing to do this as there may be a more efficient way of doing it.?

It looks like that app is designed to export label properties for the sole purpose of importing into another drawing.

 

We have added that functionality to the development build of Gizmo3D, it creates a CSV file with X,Y,Z values.

I am trying to either export the surface label to excel x,y,z or convert them into points on the surface. I have been trying to do this for a year.

I believe a time limited version is available for trial

You can add a block with an acad point at the insertion point to the lable style, triple explode, convert the acad points to cogo points that can be exported to xyz or simply use
