Surface elevation tooltips

C3D 2011, latest updates, Win 7x64

I have a drawing with 6 surfaces that all essentially cover the same area.

When the cursor comes to a rest, I get a tooltip with a station/offset (only one alignment in the DWG), and the elevation from one of the six surfaces. What surface it chooses seems to be random, of course it is rarely the one I want to see.

Rollovertips = 0, and I have made sure that each surface is set to show tooltips, and that tooltips are enabled elsewhere in the settings. Should it be showing me all 6 surface elevations, and why is the one I get seemingly random?

If you wait a little bit longer all of the surfaces should show up. Have no idea how Civil 3D decides what two objects should get shown first.

I have noticed this in other drawings with two surfaces, where the second surface elevation shows up after a moment. But in this drawing, they never do.
