subassembly LINKOFFSETANDELEVATION force link direction

Hi,

I am using a LINKOFFSETANDELEVATION subassebly

but I'm having a problem getting the right result

as it links to whatever side it finds the target object nearest

(the target is a polyline that goes around the alignment)

Is there a way to force the link's direction strictly to a specific side, even if the distance to the target is smaller at the opposite side?

thank you

Can you break the target polyline into 2 parts so you'd have a TargetLeft and a TargetRight?

in the example as it is in the attached file it would be easy, but in my actual case I would have to define 3 or 4 regions and that may happen that this might occur several times during the design process.
It's a workaround though
I just tried the DaylightToOffset but it behaves the same way unfortunately.

Im sorry to say that this may induce even stranger behaviour... just tried it and it was dissapointing

Does this image resemble what you need (where the white line is the alignment and the green line is the target)?

not exactly,

it's the top of a landfill (green = alignment) linking to the toe feature line (yellow)

what you see is what I finally managed ending up with a lane subassembly instead

where you have the option of choosing a side.

there are other ways (not grading though, or it's me not getting along with so good)

but I really need to show these slope patterns, so I had to use a corridor

thnak you for your time
