Subassembly composer and Auxiliary Points and Markpoints - how to use?

I am trying to build a subassembly that represents a dam that is built from a control point at the top but is only creating the subassembly up to the height of construction. I am starting with an Auxiliary point. I am also referencing another aux point at the top of the crest of the dam. I am getting error events stating that 'Markpoint does not exist'.

My question - what is a markpoint and how do I get it referenced within the aux point?

My explanation of the structure was a little wanting so I am including a picture....

Got it sorted out. The AP Points were actually mark points - Replaced with Auxiliary Points, now it works 'better'... but still getting errors when creating the corridor...
