If I'm not mistaken, C3D works from the center of the alignment. And
remember the golden rule, a surface can never occupy the same x,y with
differing Z's, which is exactly what your 1) polyline does. What's
happening (and I could be wrong on this) is that C3D is working from the
center (Center to Left in this explanation).... creates that point, then
works to the next defining point to the left, which in the yellow line case,
is the end of the polyline, It then goes to the bottom left corner, and then
the top left corner. See picture. If I were to redefine it, I would
exclude the hook on the top portion and just draw from 1-3-4.
