STRUCTURES IN PROFILE ARE GONE!

I HAVE A PIPE NETWORK AND THE STRUCTURES HAVE BECOME INVISIBLE. THE LABELS ARE STILL THERE, BUT NO STRUCTURES. I HAVE TRIED TURNING LAYERS ON/OFF, TURNING DISPLAY SETTINGS ON/OFF IN THE STYLE, STYLE OVERRIDE IN PROFILE PROPERTIES, DISCONNECTING & RECONNECTING PART, SWAPPING PART, NEW PART, ETC. THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET A STRUCTURE TO DISPLAY IF I USE THE BLOCK OPTION IN THE STR. STYLE. HOWEVER, I NEED TO SHOW IT AS A BOUNDARY AND IT WILL NOT DO THAT ANY MORE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THE ONLY SOLUTION I HAVE FOUND YET IS TO COMPLETELY RE-DO THE NETWORK. ANY HELP THAT WOULD PREVENT ME FROM REDOING EVERYTHING WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Computer is brand new too ... Pentium D dual core, 2 gig ram, so on and so forth ... should be fine for running c3d even though ram is at minimum. Even when c3d locks up the computer (happens at least 2 times a day) it behaves as if it is in a loop, it never runs out of ram, it just keep processing. I even left it over night once, thinking it might work out the kinks in a corridor, but next morning was still burning rubber without gaining anything. Does the computer makeup really have anything to do with the disappearing structures? Did it eat them for lunch because it was hungry, because I usually give it a healthy breakfast.

I'll add this new piece of information to the puzzle. When I right click on the label that remained in the profile I get the typical menu (edit structure, style, etc.). If I edit the structure properties, change the surface, hit apply (nothing), then change rim adjustment to false, hit apply, the manhole shows up. Go back to my other surface, gone. I tried all the combinations I could think of ... adjusted sumps, surface values, etc using the surface I want to use. Nothing, nada, zip, zero, zilch. What do these manholes have against that surface? Why when I delete the manhole and replace it with a new one, it doesn't show up either. Other manholes in other networks play nice with that surface. Can anyone tell me why the manholes in this network are not playing nice with my surface?
