I have a 10 foot profile view and a 15 foot manhole. I want to show the manhole but not the bottom 5 feet. It is extending beyond my profile view.

Can you post a screen capture of what your seeing and how you want it to appear?
Jay
I can't seem to get a screen shot or PDF small enough in file size to post. Any help in getting this done?
Sure, In Windows 7 go to Start>Accessories>Snipping Tool> Create a capture of the pdf image.
Click the little tree icon on toolbar above, browse to the .png file created and insert the image.

Thanks for the new info to get the screen shot. The manhole extends below elevation 3144 and I need to cut off what extends out of the profile view.
Tim,
Both 2012 & 2014 do the same here.
One way to accomplish what your after is to print it from a Layout use the VPCLIP command. Create a polygonal Viewport which would hide the manhole beneath the grid.
I'm not aware of any way to trim the structure at the Profile View grid limit from within Model Space.

Thank you for looking into the matter. I will try your solution.
No problem, glad to help.
That's just how I would go about it in most cases, if you have to print from Model for some reason you could use a Whipeout or trace the structure walls Polylines with a set width using color 255 which is white. But in those scenarios "Draw Order" is often a constant battle.
