I have added optional properties (Project, Building, Author etc) to my structures (According to the method covered here) at the request of our BIM consultant, who is using Navisworks to bring together the Architect, Structures, MEP Revit models, and now my Civil model. It is everyones first time incorporating Civil 3D into the workflow, and I've had to basically rebuild our whole library in order to incorporate these properties.
Now it seems that they do not show up in Navisworks.
They work fine within Civil 3D, and I can produce a schedule with them showing that they work, but within Navisworks they cannot be found, and cannot be used by the consultant.
This might be more of a Navisworks file reader problem, but I think the answer lies in Civil 3D. I'm using Civil 3D 2014 and Navisworks Simulate 2014.
Can anyone can shed any light on this? Anyone in a similar situation?
