I found a few similar threads on this but they were 2-3 years old.
Does someone mind trying something out regarding pipe networks - in C3D 2013 or C3D 2014.
Find a Null Structure, and enter a custom description for it using the "Structure Properties" dialog, on the "Information tab", then press OK to close the dialog.
Now run the Structure Properties command again, which will open that dialog up again. It should start out on the "Information tab" (since that is where it was when you closed it). Notice that the custom description you just entered is still there and OK. Now click on the "Connected Pipes" tab, then click back on the "Information" tab. In my case, the custom description is wiped out and it reverts to the default description (which in this case is "Null Structure")
Yes that happens to me also.
I used null strucuture to show the TEE label, by adding the label text to description.
And sometimes after editing the network , the descrption reverts to default.
2014 with Hot Fix 1
Just tested and seems to be holding it in this version...
Thanks for the confirmation.
Awaiting this fix in Civil 3D 2013 Hotfix 4 hopefully.
2014 with Hot Fix 1
Just tested and seems to be holding it in this version...
Just tested this with 2014 HF1, and 2014 SP1
Both fail
This can be demonstrated by editing the description of a null structure, pressing Apply, then switch to the "Connected Pipes" tab. As soon as you switch back to the "Information" tab, the description reverts to the string "Null Structure"
I don't have C3D 2015 to test, but this is still broken in 2014 SP2, but seems to work just fine in 2016 and later.
