SSM Numbering pages xx of yy

Hello,

In my company we use the SSM and label our sheets as follows:

(Sheet Number) - (Sheet Title)

G-1.00 - Summary of Quantites

WM-1.01 - Water Main

etc...

In the border we would like to put page SHEET XX OF YY. The Total count is simple with a custom field however how would I get the XX part to show the sheet number as a number and not G-1.00.

Any help would be amazing. Thanks!

The only way I can think of getting it without customization is using the description field to hold the sheet number. This could be really inconvenient when you need to renumber though since you would have to edit the properties of each sheet.

Thanks Dustin,

Thats the way that my co-worker thought about doing it but it is very time consuming and I was looking for a quick automated method. I was hoping an autolisp would be applicable but I still haven't found a way to create it.

It seems like it would be simpler to have the sheet number count 1-2-3 and then have your desc be WM01.

Thanks,
Dave

one way I have done it is to number the sheets consecutivly. Create subsets for the discipline:
G-
LS-
UT-
create a custom field for x.xx, then use CurrentSubset & custom field in the dwg number place.

Then If you get JTB Worlds proerty editor it makes it awhole lot easier to number the displines
