Special Ditch Grades

In LDD, you could create a special ditch profile and then attach that ditch profile to a centerline alignment/profile in the same manner you attached a transition profile or alignment. In C3D 2007, there doesn't appear to be an obvious (or as simple) way to do that. I've seen some info pointing to some of the slope assemblies, but they seem to be more complicated than the LDD format, which intuitively tells me I'm missing something. Is there a simple way to attach a special ditch grade? Thanks.

Make a feature line where you want the ditch. Set elevations on it, then
add to surface as a breakline.

Thanks for the response. But what if the location of the ditch will be dictated by its stream grade? If I hold a specific side slope, the distance from the road will vary depending on the difference between the profile grade and the ditch grade. I don't know that distance beforehand, so I'm not sure how to place the feature line in that method.

I wuold use the LinkSlopeToElevation to define the ditch, you can attach a
profile target for the elevation and keep the slope.
