As always those that know can't say.
I would guess this month but I don't know and that's just a guess.

That's what I figured.
Hopefully it'll be soon. There are a couple of 'bugs' that I'd love to have fixed.

from James Wedding at Civil3d.com:

A couple of little birdies are singing songs about C3D Service Packs. The third verse (same as the first,) says we’re in for a Friday/over the weekend release. Make sure you’re checking in with Communication Center and/or your Subscription center.

I don't have the time or inclination right now to be a guinea pig, so I'm planning on waiting a week or two before I even think of installing this SP, and wait for the hard-core masochists to try it out first.

Given that I have Two weeks of classes to teach in HI; definitely NOT installing until after that is over.
That should give me plenty of time to read the read me file, and watch the fray.

The good news is I am NOT a reseller.

I just do Training, and a little Network install here and there.

Yeah Independence!

Does anyone know if the highly touted SP1 includes fixes from AutoCAD SP1/Version 2/Update..whatever? Or is this a case where they will release SP2 in a few weeks to include that?

Thanks,

In the past, C3D SP2 has included the core vanilla SP1, and it usually comes a couple of months later.

Of course, we never know what's going to happen until it happens. Get used to the not-knowing. It probably won't change.

I think C3d SP1 last year was release very close to SP1 for the base. If the rumour is true that it gets release tommorrow - there has been plenty of time since Shaan Hurley indicated that the beta Update 1 was in testing and tommorrow. I will venture my guess, that yes it should be included.

As for stepping up - absolutely. I like the bleeding edge.
