Simple Sample Line Question

How can you skew your sample lines to your alignment?

Thanks...

Depends on how you are creating them. if you use pick points you can skew
them as you place them. Otherwise just select them after creation, two
grips appear, a triangle which will lengthen or shorten and a square grip,
move the grip to skew the section(If you have dynamic input on you should be
able to tab over and enter an angle) The other way is to use the edit
sample line command from the sample line toolbar.

Well, I never tried it before now, but there are grips at the ends of the sample lines that you can move and skew the line. The left and right side move independently.

doh, I was too slow on the reply, but here's something new. After you've skewed a sample line a new option appears is you right click it, "Make Orthagonal". It'll square the sample line back up with the alignment. (the offset to the end of the line will be held) Message was edited by: MMccall

In addition to Nick's suggestion (using grips to manipulate your sample
lines), you can also define a sample line from a polyline - draw your
sample lines the way you would like them to appear, then define from
those polylines.

I noticed I'm restricted on where I can place the sample line skew. What parameters restrict the skew?
