shrubs scale, trees do not

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why my shrub point styles will scale automatically however my tree point styles will not?

Image of desc key editor is attached.

I would look at your point file and see if the trees have been coded the same way as the shrubs.

You may want to check the definition of the blocks you used to create your Point Styles.

In your description keys, you're telling C3D to only scale the blocks in the XY direction, and not the Z direction.  So if your blocks are defined with the "Scale uniformly" option set, that might be what's causing your problems.

Honestly, I'm suprised you are getting your shrubs to scale. I've always had issues with descriptions keys with spaces in them. You are duplicating the description keys for:

SC #

SC ##

SC ###

etc.

Try, instead

SC*

This will match everything that starts with SC and your parameters will still be honered.

Good catch, Brian...

The shrubs might be working because there's also the entries for just "SC" and "SD".  There are no "TC" or "TD" codes in there.

Sinc,

That's definitely it. I didn't notice that the first time.

Wow, odd but believe it or not it worked.

Trees are finally scaling, very cool.

Thanks.
