Thank you for your answers.

Convert to a featureline and use a grading object - take a look at the Help

Use OFFSETFEATURE. It will work on 3D Polylines too.

Probably a neater solution as it avoids the use of a Grading Object....as long as you know the difference between Slope and Gradient...Smiley Wink

this is perfect Smiley Happy
But I would love to go further, is't possible to shift with two different slopes, one at the beginning and at the end?

Thank you for all your answers.

The help seems to lack any mention of it although it did in the wayback. The most important thing to know is that entering a slope give you the X over 1. So if you enter 3 you get a 3 to 1 slope. In the OPs case the slope would have to be reduced to 1.5 over 1 rather than 3 over 2.

for how to use the Variable option. You may need to turn the polyline into a Featureline for this.

To my knowledge, not using the OFFSETFEATURE command. It should apply one uniform slope for the entire line.

What I would do is convert the 3D Poly to a feature line as Allen said, and do a 3:1 grading for a very small distance (like 0.01') at the start, then the same thing at the end at a 2:1, and do a grading transition between them.

There may be another faster way, but that's what comes to mind right now.
