Shape Style in Sections

I can show calculated volume in my sections if I use methods as "Primordial" or "Average End Area" but not "Composite Volume".

Is that a bug?

If your on 2014 and unable to get Composite volumes from your various corridor shapes, there is a known issue with display and calculation of Material Volumes. See if This thread describes your issue?

Thank you for replying!

I am using 2012 and 2013 calculating earthwork between two surfaces Existing Ground and Proposed Ground. So no corridor involved.

For two other calculation methods it works fine showing eartwork in sections but not by Composite Volume.

Am I off base here? I though composite was grid base making it irrelevant for section comps?

Thank you

I've tried this also with one of the tutorial drawings.  Apparently the composite method does not create an end area, so there is nothing to display in the section view.  See this link for more details.  I did find that, even though there aren't any material sections you can still get output in a volume table, so it does actually calculate something.

I think this is the answer: Composite volume does not appear in section! I been trying for a long time without any results! Strangely there is no notice about that in any documentation!

Showing volume in section is very helpful because then one would know what is calculated. "Fill", "cut", "Above" and "below" all should be in the right place in order to get the correct result. Taking a look at the sections gives one a hint!

Other issue is that there is no "Tin Volume" so how the Composite Volume is calculated?

The calculation is the same, only the output is different.
