selection/deselection using shift not working?

guys please help!

my shift not working when i have some objects sellected and i want to desellect something.i have the c3d 2014 with raster image. i am new to autocad and c3d and i am trying to learn from videos i find in youtube. i saw even the autocad help that menions the shift to deselect but why this is not working?

i appreciate any help.

Use the command MAPIOPTIONS, go to the General tab, the last option you will see is Use Shift + Left click to select image. Uncheck this option and OK out

I tried it but nothing happens.still the shift is dead.

This is a fresh install on a laptop and in fact i never saw that working .i have it instaled yesterday together with raster image and today i noticed the shift problem.

Can you please help with that?

I don't have Raster Design installed, but that also has an option for the Shift Left click to select images. Find that option and you will be good to go.

it is the raster desighn options tab.the mapioptions did nothing.

This solution worked for me when shift select was bringing up the image select menu, thanks.

Hi, I do not have a General tab (I attached my tabs), I tried the command MAPIOPTIONS and Autocad 2014 reported unknown command. Shift click does not deselect.

MAPIOPTIONS --> General Tab --> Bottom left corner, uncheck Shift+Left Click Image Select
