Hello,
Glad I could help. Cross-sections have been a real issue with me.
I would start by deleting the sections and sample lines. By the way, if you
graphically choose your cross-sections and views, the sample lines will
probably be deleted as well. In theory, you should not have to delete the
sample lines, but I always have fewer problems if I just go ahead and delete
them. I don't think you should have to delete the finished grade surface.
Recreate your sample lines and then your sections. As you create sections
you will be given an opportunity to select surfaces for surface 1 and
surface 2. For my style, surface 1 is the existing grade and surface 2 is
the finished (proposed) grade you created in the corridor properties box.
This only works for 2007 - sp3.
Once you create a ACCURATE corridor and corridor surface with a decent
boundary (very difficult sometimes), creating sample lines and section views
is fairly quick and painless. It also helps to have created before hand
many many styles and bands that work for your production sheets.
Have a good day,
Sandy W.

Excellent post and answers. Thanks Sandy, you have helped us as well. I
have a question that follows up with this post. I don't want to hijack the
question and answers, but my question fits with the issues of this post. We
created cross sections before creating a cooridor surface for the finished
grade. What is the best way to delete the sections? Should we delete the
corridor and start over? I don't want to do more than necessary, but want
to do it right the first time.
Thanks all.
