Section labeling

For my cross sections, I have a template that labels my paved surface a certain way, and may daylight link another way. The issues I am running into, is when I use the rounding option on the daylight link, I get a stack of slope labels one on top of the other. Does anyone know if you can eliminate these, or perhaps have a setting to only label that portion of the daylight link that is xxx' or longer?

Thank you! Any help would be appreciated.

Short segment labels can be suppressed by using Expressions to scale the annotation of the shorter segments so it's not visible when plotted.

Expressions:

Hide Cut Segment:

IF({Link Length}>-1,0.00001,0.12/12)

Hide Fill Segment:

IF({Link Length}<1,0.00001,0.12/12)

Once Expressions are created they will be available in the label style composer of the Link Label Style and

can be chosen/applied under the Layout Tab of Link Label Style used>Text>Text height>

How exactly do I create the expression. I am fairly new to using expressions.

It's fairly straight forward, Settings Tab of Toolspace>Style category (in this case)>General>

Multipurpose Styles>Label Styles>Link> bottom of the style list "expressions".
