Sample line vertices

I'm probably doing something stupid, but I can't seem to make the Sample Line Vertices (whatever they are) display. They're on in my Style, they're a different colour to everything else, they've got a thickness of 2mm, but I can't see them or make them display in either 2D or 3D. Multiple regens and audits done. Anyone had success with this, can lend an idea or explanation?

This was a known defect in C3D 2007 and has been fixed in 2008.
