Roadway Intersection Design!

OK. Its confusing. Designing a subdivision intersection. How do you do it most effieciently? Please post your procedure.

I am very new to this and am currently working on my first intersection of my first project...heres where I am at...

T-Intersection----
My curb returns are now alignments with a profile. I am targeting my corridor to the created curb-return profile from the ending street (north south ). Do I also target the same returns with my through street?

Post my procedure? Seriously?

I follow the theories and concepts that are taught in the AOTC Designing
Intersections and Cul de Sacs book.

Have you considered training on intersections? That's not *usually*
discussed or learned in a basic essentials class.

also try these posts- there are some sample drawings you can download.

http://www.civil3d.com/2006/11/another-intersection-sample-drawing/

if any links at civil3d.com come up dead, remove the "index.php" part from the URL and they will be live. we changed servers a few weeks ago and it messed a few things up.

Also note that there are some intersection procedures and ideas as well as exercises in our book Mastering AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008.

Good Luck!

I have been trying to use the method posted above in the Junction Design with Civil 3D lesson. Everything looks good but I cannot get my side road curbs to target my side road centerline. I have set the correct targets as specified in the pdf I downloaded but something must not be right. I have tried this in two different drawings and get the same result. I am posting a screen shot to give you an idea of what I am talking about. I am using the LaneOutsideSuper, UrbanCurbGutterGeneral, BasicShoulder, and DaylightMultiIntercept in my assemblies. Thanks for your help.
