1. Make a block to represent a ROW line (A block with a line and ROW label
to you liking)
2. turn your ROW lines into alignments (add tiny radii at kinks)
3. add eg profiles to each
4. under section view group properties select profile grade, pick your row
alignments & profs.

They will be added to your sections. ( works for other fixed object too)

I was on this quest for the first time very recently and have some related threads you may also want to read for some limitations that hopefully Autodesk will address soon.

The method Joe mentioned is also limited in some quirky ways as I learned through this thread:
problems w/ section view group properties to insert symbols in section view

Another approach is via feature line projected to the section (but this can't be applied for all the sections in a range) as I learned in:
project objects to section view - can I do this for a range of sections?

There's a very good white paper here, but I have not been able to get the site to load for a couple days now.

http://imaginit.rand.com/files/C3D2008%20ROW-White_Paper.pdf

I've attached a document describing a similar method that's based on the method in the above link. The cool part is that you can leverage it to label anything you wish in a RW view. I've been using it to show RW and also lane lines.

One quirk with the profile grade method is that any time you re-enter the profile grade editor it deletes any prior edits... so if you wish to add another RW line, say, you will have to add ALL the RW lines.

Is it just me.... or does the attachment download as a zip file with a bunch of xml files? Also couldn't get to the white paper mentioned in the previous post. Would anyone happen to know how to get this?

Thanks

Yes, that is the format for the new Word documents...docx...which now consists of XML. You need to use at least Word2007 or the free docx viewer available from MS.

Not sure about that other link....
