Render surface with skirts

In LDT you were able to render a surface with skirts, to give the illusion of a solid.
Can someone please tell me how to do this in Civil 3D or Viz Render?

Thanks

I believe its in the surface style settings under the display tab, you
should be able to select border, and in 3D view this defaults to showing up
as the skirts you love so much from LDT. You can render it either directly
in Civil3D / Autocad or export to VizRender - but... and I've got to say
it here... You should really take a look at RDV for a bunch of really cool
visual techniques with Civil 3D surfaces and project data -

To expand on the previous post, you can expand how "skirts" are displayed within the surface style. Select the Borders tab and expland the Datum tree to set the parameters.
