Removing .dst from Recent Documents list

Does anyone know of a way to remove the .dst listings in the "Recent Documents" list on the "File" pulldown? We use Civil 3D mostly with dwg files and they are usually pushed off the list because of Sheet Set Manager files. Some of these dst's haven't been opened in weeks? But there still at the top of the list....very unproductive when you have to go searching for a dwg file you were just working on......

I am having the same issue on multiple machines. All Civil 3d 2009 with service pack installed.

Both Vista and XP

Seems to be from the service pack.

If I recall, it pre-dated the Update. The DST's all floated to the top...

Yes this was an issue before the update.

I have noticed the dwg's are on the list for the current session, but if you restart the program the list is populated with dst's again.

This is still an issue.... Has anyone found a solution to remove the .dst's from the list yet?

I wrote some very quick code that kind of works by removing
the entries from the registry.  After a little more testing, though, I've
learned that references to the DSTs are also stored in the FixedProfile.AWS
file, and that means that they come right back the next time that the SSM
command is run.  Now that I know where they are, though, I'll work on
removing them from the registry and the fixedprofile.aws file when I have the
time.

If you'd like to take a look at the code that kindasorta
works, I've posted it on my site here:

Thank You Very much for the temporary fix. I look forward to the final version.
Also nice website. I've added it to my favorites for future reference.

I see that this topic hasn't been addressed for a while. I thought I'd share my workaround for anyone interested.

Using XML Notepad 2007 (google it. It's a free download) you can edit the FixedProfile.aws to remove the dst files listed in the recent files.

Just open the file.
Use the Find to search for .dst.
Then delete the MRU_FILE sections you don't want.

The list will grow again as you work, but at least the older dst listings will be gone. And this only removes the dst's, all your dwg files will still be there.

Hope this helps...
