Referenced surface broken

i have drawing A that i created a surface in. i have drawing B that i am referencing the surface from drawing A into. i was able to work in drawing B all afternoon creating corridors, etc. i checked it in, went to check it out a little later and the referenced surface is broken. 2007 sp1a, using vault, let me know what else you need. thanks for any help your able to provide

What do you mean by broken?
Is the reference to the surface broken?
I've seen it happen when the original drawing or original surface get
renamed.

thanks for the suggestions, i'll keep that in mind. i discovered the problem...each workstation had a different working folder selected...makes sense after looking into it. thanks again.

Might be worth your while to investigate the force working folder switch.
I don't recall if that option is available after a vault is created but I know it's there when you create a vault.

thanks for the suggestion. i'm just now getting the design dept. up and running with 07 and vault and while doing some troubleshooting, i figured a central vault jobs folder on our main server would be less confusing, however, i forgot to tell this particular cad person to change the working folder selection, causing a slight panick on my part. i racked my brain all afternoon wondering what could be causing the problem. dont you work for GBA?
