Do you have a screen-recording software that might have added that?

Or AutoCAD's action recorder. Can we assume you have restarted? Does this happen after a restart?

After restart it went away, yes.  It was weird because I saw it happen on two different machines within an hour yesterday.  I clicked on the record function within autocad and yep,  that exact same red bubble came up. So I suppose that funtion was accidentally triggered. By two different people on two different machines on the same map! How do you accidentally type _ASTRECORD .....weird!

Thanks for the replies

The command can also be started on Manage tab, Record/Stop.

The command was initiated by ARR, which is extremely close to a command that I added with a lisp file. It is turned off from the manage menu.

If you type ARR   (intending to use array tool),  it comes first the command ACTRECORD. That's way the red dot apears next to the cursor. Cause it starts recording 😉

Type "ACTSTOP" if you can't find Recorder/Stop in right click menu.
