Reccommended transition help

Our office (more specifically me) is making the transition from LDD 2005 to Civil 3D 2007. What is the one thing (meaning class, tutorial, books, etc...) you would recommend to help with this transition. I am located 1 hour north of SLC, UT (in case you recommend a class). Thanks,
Paul

Training is crucial, in my opinion.

An open mind will be very beneficial, particularly if you're a group of
long-time LDD users. You are about to enter another world....some have a
hard time with that part.

I should have mentioned the following, as well:

Webcasts from www.autodesk.com

Websites like www.civil3d.com (no affiliation, lots of good info)

I will offer somewhat of a different take on this. I believe you will get
more bang for the buck if you try it alone for awhile. Go through all the
tutorials, read up on all this. THEN after you have some working knowledge
get some help, you now have QUESTIONS that can be answered (hopefully).

If you are a member of AUGI (http://www.AUGI.COM) there are some decent three week courses in the AUGI Training Program that are FREE!
Once you login (or register for free) you can go to the Education Link just below the header to see what is being offered.
I would also re-emphasize what WFB had to say as well. Get in and get your hands dirty first and keep a pad and pencil handy for your questions, so you can search for the answers easier on the sites listed.

Even though I'm a trainer, I agree with Bill. Go through the tutorials, watch the webcasts, experiment a little, and then get in a class (if you still need it which most people will). I'm sure there are resellers in your area that can assist you but if you want to come out to Colorado's Front Range for some training, let me know. brianh at the domain below.

I will further expand on Bill's post.

I have been giving the people in my office the AU quick spin along with a couple of the piping classes. After that I let them go on the C3D tutorial. The reason for this is when I went through it there were some missed steps here and there.
