Read Only Message

Please let me know why I am getting a write protected messgae when I try to open up a file that I have saved on my Civil 3d 2014 educational software. It says it is a write protectd file. I am using windows 7 operating system and 2014 civil 3d software. is anyone else experiencing this message. This is new and has nver happened to me before.

This sort of issue is usually reflective of a network problem.

 

Where is your file stored? (local or on a networked drive)

 

If it's networked, what is the nature of that unit? (windows server, nas, etc.)

Have you checked to see if it was accidentally marked Read Only?
