What is the radial snowflake looking emblem I see in some of my drawings in Civil 3d 2010? I can't select it but it is visible. It also does not print.
I'm glad I'm not alone.
Is your 2010 dwt files based on your 2008 or 2009 dwt file? Mine is, and I notices if I go to the OOTB dwt I don't get that annoying blip.

I don't really know what the purpose is, but I can tell you how to get rid of it:
type
geomarkervisiblity
and set the value to 0
go figure
It has to do with whether or not your drawing has a defined coordinate system. Which can be set in the drawing settings. There is a variable to turn its display on and off, but I cannot remember what it is right now. I'm sure someone else here knows how to do that.
That means you have a coordinate system assigned.
I don't have 2010 in front of me, but in 2009 (I think 2010 is the same) you can type GEOMARKERVISIBILITY and change it to 0 to turn it off.

Set GEOMARKERVISIBILITY to 0. This is per drawing.
EDIT: I must have fallen asleep, everyone else beat me to the answer.
Thanks so much! It was driving me nuts. Obviously, I didn't have far to go with this little thing bugging me.
This Georeferencemarker is of no use in Civil 3d I believe its for Autocad. As ACAduser iterated this system variable is saved in the drawing not the registry. So this is best set to not show in your template files.
