R2008 labels.

How can I turn the R2008 functionality back to be like R2007 so that the contour labels are selected when the linked surface is. It's a bit of a pain to have to manually select / qselect to get all the contour labels, then surface and explode. (I don't use Export as it sends everything to a Zero Elevation).

There must be a switch for the "entity sub selection" functionality.

Not too sure on how to get the labels to select with the surface but as to exploding the surface you can now extract data from the surface without using the explode command. Surfaces --> Utilities --> Extract objects from surface and then select a contour.

Yea I used that in the beta version but it does not extract the contour labels/surface lables.

Set your view to be 3d, setup up your surface view to show the same items in
3d as 2d, then Export. In the new drawing reset the view to WCS Plan. All
your elevated objects will still be elevated in the Exported drawing.

To select all of the contour labels, select one of the contour-label-lines,
right-click, select similar. This will get all of the label line groups,
which includes the labels.

Thanks but that's a bit of a cumbersome way of doing it.

Are we saying that in order to export we need to have a style that shows all items in 3D view. Hmm I may just do the contouring in R2006 instead.

We just need a way of turning the Entity sub-selection off when we want to export an alignment/contour model and I guess pipe network plan.
