r/w lines in cross sections

what would be the best way to have my variable width r/w lines in plan view which are just regular lines and arcs right now show up in my cross sections automatically?

It's not the most elegant method, but here goes
1. create alignments for left and right RW's
2. add LinkOffsetonSurface to each side of your assembly, make you to click
"Omit Link" - this will add a little circle to one side (endpoint of this
link). Also, delete all link codes, otherwise your top surface will be
screwy
3. add LinkVertical to this new circle (end of first link). make the
height of this link 1.2m or so, it's completely up to you. (delete link
codes here as well, but do not omit this link)
4. edit your corridor properties and go into Target mapping. assign your
RW alignments to the appropriate link subassemblies, assign your EG surface
to the same subassemblies.

Good luck

You're method seems to be right on the money, but for some reason my ROW labels are still not showing up in the section views (by the way, this was a nice post at the com). I was able to get this to work in 2006 and the labels are showing up in my assembly properly, but nothing shows up in the sections. Is there some type of layer or style control in the section views that would stop the ROW labels from showing?
Thanks for any help on this subject.

To build my cross sections I am referencing my Surf-Eg and my Surf-Fg (Built from corridor) into my border drawing. This keeps the files smaller.

Your previously explained method of adding the LinkOffsetOnSurface to get the ROW label in needs the corridor in the cross section drawing.

Anyway I can get the variable width ROW onto my cross sections using my current two surface method?
