"Unable to run macro: ValidateRule" Error

Has anybody else seen this error in the event viewer? We seem to get this with all drawings containing a Pipe Network?

The complete error is: Type=Error Source= AeccDbNetworkRule::runScript Description= Unable to run Macro: ValidateRule.

And this error repeats itself 253 times in this dwg. We do have the "Pipe Catalogs" on a network drive. But it's mapped as R:\AutoCAD Civil 3D\Pipes Catalog and not a unc address. I don't know if this is a problem to worry about or not, but it's still annoying to get this many events in the Panorama.

I've tried searching and Googleing but have not found anything yet. Any help would be appreciated.

It's not a part pipe catalog issue, it's a rule issue. Did you or someone in your office add a custom rule? If the rule wasn't added to everyone's computer you would be getting this error.

Thanks for the reply on this. I'll look into the rules. I know we created some new rules for the sanitary pipes. Do you have any additional advice on getting this issue resolved? C3D help didn't have much to say. Is there a way to use rules on the network vs on a users pc?

If you change the XML file that contains the pointers to the rules you should be able to have everyone point to a network. I just haven't done it to make sure it works flawless.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am getting the same error in C3D 2010.

Source: AeccDbNetworkRule::runscript
Description: Unable to run macro: Validate Rule and also ApplyRule

Additionally, it won't let me create any new pipes in the pipe network.

My computer was recently upgraded from XP Pro to Windows 7 and I started receiving the same error message:  "AeccDbNetworkRule:runScript" and "Unable to run macro:ValidateRule".  I ran an AUDIT on the drawing and that seems to have fixed the problem.
