"This version of Autocad was not installed properly."

How nice.

After a year of using C3D, all of a sudden C3D has started saying "This version of AutoCAD was not installed properly and some features may not run correctly. You should reinstall AutoCAD immediately."

That stinks. Sorry not to have an answer for you but I DO have a question.
Is Sincpac going to create a ribbon panel of sorts?

Well, the Sincpac won't do it. Unless I do it, the software just sits there waiting. 🙂

A Ribbon interface is one of those things that's on the task list. But I have to figure out how to do it first.

As for the strange error message, I rebooted Windows and it went away. Amazing how often that fixes problems with Windows XP. I don't think I've had anything like that happen yet with Vista x64, though... I can't recall a single time where I had to reboot Vista x64 to clear up a problem with Civil 3D.

Sinc,

I had this error message before and seemed to be a .NET installation
issue. I reinstalled .NET 3.0 and worked fine after.

We have AutoCad Civil 3D 2010 installed on a laptop, and this error message appears only for some users once logged in. I did the whole Micrsoft .net uninstall, reinstall thing, but it did not correct the error. Is there something else that might cause this? Especially for different users on the same computer?

There seems to be a regular problem with C3D 2010 where user profiles get corrupted by something.  If C3D is working fine for other users on the same machine, then you may have encountered that issue.

Search the forum for "initiate secondary installer" to find the instructions to reset the user profile to its default state.
