Is it possible to make hatches in profile views scale according to the viewport scale.. like everything else on the profile view?
Kapanther
I should add that its more the Shape Style that is not scaling with respect to the viewport.See image below.

mmm. not many people using profile view hatching at multiple scales ...
Set your hatching to Annotative and psltscale=1.

Hatching is not regular hatch. It is generated from the profile view properties screen. By selecting upper lower profiles etc..
B,
Shape Styles use basic Hatches. The only problem is how to change the Hatch to Annotative. Have you tried Right-Click << Properties? Have you set LTSCALE=1, PSLTSCALE=1, and MSLTSCALE=1?

"Only problem"? It is the problem... :). All of those commans are linetype scale related. They do not effect hatches.
Most Civil 3D objects scale with the viewport. Profile view hatching does now.
It appears the only solution is to create shapestyles at different scales..
ie. Cut Material (SC1000)
Cut Material (SC500) etc. etc. etc..
Pretty annoying though as it means i need to copy down the profile view and duplicate it.
B,
You're right. I can't find a way to set Profile View Hatches to Annotative.

K,
I just stumbled upon Eric Cappell's Lisp Routine for making Tool Palette Hatches annotative. Check it out:

mm this does not solve the problem for Profile View Hatching....
Plus.. you don't need a lisp routine to make tool palette hatches come in annotative.

_an makes it annotative..
Did you ever get this to work? It is 2018 and I'm experiencing similar problems in my xreffed c3d drawings. The hatch is many times bigger in the plot drawing than what it is in the xreffed drawing...
Hi Dave, I think Ive got this sorted. I ran into the same scenario and scoured the forum, then I noticed I was overlooking this; if you set the view direction to profile, it will accept the hatch scale.
Yes, but you still need to create different styles for different scales.. rather than just one hatch style like Fill.. You need to have Fill 1:1000 Fill 1:2000 etc....
