Profile style arrowheads

Can someone explain to me why if I want an arrowhead to appear 0.1" long in
my paper space, I have to specify .008 (0.1/12) using the "use drawing
scale" option within the profile style editor? 0.008 is the foot equivalent
of 0.1", yet the dialog is asking for inches.

In my opinion we are stuck with complying with the ARCHI TEKS.

Architects are not the only people who draw 1:1 and not at 1/12 scale.

The thing I have always found interesting is how other programs (like Microstation) use a full scale and you usually have to scale down by 1/12 when importing a dgn.

As for the question I think it goes back to the old scale up scale down by 1/12 to get things into your scale if you work in another dicipline.

that's all fine and dandy, but when the program specifically asks for
inches, you would think it would want inches, and not the foot equivalent.
Sorry, it's just annoying.
